3rd/4th Grade Division
Lehigh Valley Youth Lacrosse League 2022 Adjusted Rules
The LVYLL has adopted the 2022 US Lacrosse set of rules and will follow them explicitly with the following exceptions noted below for each age group. Please consult the US Lacrosse rule book along with these league mandated adjustments and abide by them for the entirety of the 2022 season.
3rd & 4th Grade (10U)
- Rule 1.1 – Field Measurements (pg. 22)
- US Lacrosse Ruling
- The playing field shall be rectangular, 60 yards in length and 35 yards in width. The center of the field shall have a four-inch “X”. The goal creases shall be circular with a radius of 9 feet. Either portable creases or painted creases can be utilized for games.

- Goals measuring 6’x6’ from the inside measurements and securely affixed netting on it that would not allow a ball to pass through it shall be used. The goal is centered in the goal crease.

- Two certified official is required per field of play.
- Rule 2.8 – Timekeeper (pg. 25)
- The home team shall designate a timekeeper.
- Rule 3.2 – Score Differential (pg. 26)
- This rule does not apply as already using running clock at this level.
- Rule 3.4 - Overtime (pg. 26)
- Standard overtime procedures will be followed based on the 7th & 8th grade level from 3.4 starting on page 57.
- Rule 4.4 – Positioning of Players and Starting Play (pg. 27)
- Field players will start with a 2-3-2 configuration
- Standard face off procedures & violations will be followed based on the 7th & 8th grade level from 4.3 starting on page 58 and 4.4 starting on page 60.
- Players conducting a face off may have one knee down as it aligns to the 2021 faceoff regulations. Players conducting the face off are not required to have SNG positioning as outlined in NCAA and NFHS regulations
- No passes must be attempted after possession is gained off a face off before a shot may be taken
- Rule 4.21 – Substitution Procedures (pg. 29)
- Players will be substituted in accordance with the 7th & 8th grade level from 4.21 starting on page 54.
- Rule 4.25 – Timeouts (pg. 30)
- Two team timeouts permitted.

- LVYLL 2019 Ruling
- If a personal foul or technical foul is committed, a slow whistle or immediate stoppage of play will be followed. The foul will be explained to the offending player and must leave the field and enter the penalty area. In either case, the team of the offending player will play with fewer players than their opponent (man down situation). The offending player may return when the opposing team scores a goal of their full penalty time expires.

LVYLL Only Rule - Any player that would be ejected from a game for any reason will be be automatically suspended from their next game whether it be in A or B division. Any additional ejections in a single season can come with additional suspensions and will be at the discretion of the LVYLL Executive Board.
